Departure at 8:00am – sailing time is a minimum of 6-7 hours

  • Windy Sturgeon Bay to Green Bay Sail capacity is 70 people per sail
  • Sturgeon Bay to Green Bay Sail August 15 is $275/person
  • Includes an on-board lunch
  • Ticket holders must be 5 years old
  • Must arrive 30 minutes prior to the above times to check in
  • Purchase of a this ticket includes a one day festival admission ticket, good for any day
  • Need transportation from Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay? Bus transportation is available for $10. SEE MORE INFO
  • Please note that transportation back to Sturgeon Bay after the sail is NOT provided

The Windy is available for 75 minute Green Bay Day-Sails at the festival on the following days and times:

The Windy is also available for 90 minute Green Bay Sunset-Sails at the festival on the following days and times:

  • 7:00pm-8:30pm

Please Note:

  • Windy Day-Sail capacity is 150 people per sail
  • Cost for 75 minute Day-Sails is $50/person
  • Cost for 90 minute Sunset-Sails is $75/person
  • Ticket holders may be any age
  • Must arrive 30 minutes prior to the above times for check in
  • Purchase of a Day-Sail ticket includes festival admission

ABOUT THE WINDY:

  • Windy is the first certified four-masted traditional sailing vessel built in the U.S.A. since 1921.
  • Windy was built by Detyens Shipyard, Inc. of Charleston SC. A custom design, she was conceived by Captain Robert Marthai (“Captain Bob”) – a longtime sailor and traveler who also became a maritime adventurer and historian, designer and shipbuilder.
  • Windy was welcomed as the biggest and newest schooner to the Lake Michigan Fleet in July 1996.
  • Windy was awarded the status of official flagship of the City of Chicago by Mayor Richard M. Daley in 2006.
